Must See: Oprah is Movin’ & Groovin’ to Young Thug’s ‘Havana’ (WATCH)

*Well we never thought we’d be putting Oprah Winfrey in the same sentence with Young Thug, but here we are. It’s all because of the ATL rapper’s huge hit “Havana” with former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello.

You see, Oprah and Jeffrey Williams (Young Thug’s real name), aren’t actually doing anything that would require them to be in the same physical space at the same time. However, Lady O was recently seen on video movin’ & groovin’ – while sportin’ a Pharell-style hat and yellow jacket – to Thug’s verse on “Havana.”

Maybe this is a good omen and the beginning of mainstream success for Young Thug who, although well-known, hasn’t had much luck in terms of solo sales, as HotNewHipHop noted.

The site also says a new album could be on the way in the form of Slime Language. Just three days ago, Young Thug wiped his Instagram clean and changed his profile photo to the text: “SLIME LANGUAGE: coming soon.”

Who know, Slime Language could be the project that will help Young Thug blow up.

Earlier, we reported that Young Thug was attempting to rebrand himself, yet again.

“I’m changing my name to SEX….,” the rapper tweeted Tuesday morning, announcing his new rap moniker. Following up with a second tweet, Thug doubled down, “For now on call me SEX!!!”

No further explanation for the name change was given, but it’s not the first time Thug has switched up his title.

The Atlanta artist attempted to go by his real name “Jeffery” back in August 2016, but only if his mixtape “No My Name is Jeffery,” sold 100,000 copies in its first week. The mixtape went on to sell only 37,000 album-equivalent units and 18,000 physical copies in the first week.

He later explained that he wanted to go back to his real name for professional purposes.

“I had a long-term relationship with Young Thug and I’m kind of picky. So I felt like I ain’t wanna be in front of Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey. I ain’t want my kids to grow up and call me Thug,” he said during a listening party. “I don’t want anybody to kind of look at me like that. So I’m gonna just use my real name.”
