*”Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman has joined the cast of a new Apple TV series, “Are You Sleeping,” produced by Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon and starring Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and Lizzy Caplan (“Mean Girls,” “Masters of Sex”).
According to Deadline, Tami will portray Octavia Spencer’s “saucy stepmother.” Since Roman and Spencer are so close in age, Millennial Twitter users seem confused about what a STEP-mother is.

“Are You Sleeping” is based on a true-crime novel by Kathleen Barber and according to Deadline, “provides a unique glimpse into America’s obsession with true-crime podcasts and challenges its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage.”
Joining Tami, Octavia, and Lizzy are Mekhi Phifer, Annabella Sciorra, Aaron Paul, Nic Bishop, Molly Hagan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood and Ron Cephas Jones.
