*Claudia Jordan is hoping to help her good friend Melyssa Ford as she recovers from a horrifying hit-and-run car crash on June 28.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alumna recently launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with Ford’s medical expenses. “Her jeep flipped 3 times after being clipped by an 18-wheeler. She sustained a skull fracture, concussion and bleeding on the brain. She also has a 10-inch open wound that had to be surgically closed using stitches and staples with other severe gashes all over her body,” wrote Jordan on the GoFundMe Page.
Jordan hopes her crowdsourcing effort will raise $100,000. At press time, the total was just shy of $16,000, $1000 of which was donated by Jordan, herself.
“Melyssa and I are good friends and I set this up because so many people wanted to help and there are so many expenses coming at her I wanted to make it where there was one less thing she had to worry about-so she could just focus on healing,” wrote Jordan. “Melyssa gets 100% of the funds-whatever we raise-it’s all hers to handle all the medical bills & physical therapy she will surely need.”
