Chance the Rapper Tells Fan Who Criticized His Proposal: ‘Get Off My d*ck’

*Chance the Rapper made it official with his baby mama Kirsten Cooley by popping the question but one fan was not impressed with how the Chicago native proposed to his girlfriend of five years.

The “Blessings” rapper proposed to his girlfriend on Thursday at a 4th of July bbq party. He proposed to the mother of his two-year-old daughter Kensli and later Twitter to write: “She said yes.”

But Twitter user [Its_RianM] criticized Chance and wrote, “Can I be honest? I really thought Chance the rapper proposal was extra hot smelly trash. I’m all for keeping it simple but 5 years and kid. She deserved a little more effort.”

Chance the Rapper personally replied to the disappointed fan via a direct message in which he slammed the fan for his hateful comments.

The fan shared a screenshot of the hip-hop artist’s message and posted it online which infuriated Chance even more. The rapper fired off another message, telling the hater to, “Get off my d*ck.”

Chance the Rapper continued:

“You have expectations for my personal life, but you don’t have access to my life in that way that would ever allow you to understand any of the emotions evoked by me and my fiancee getting engaged in the place we did… You saw a small amount of info on a blog somewhere.”

The fan didn’t respond back but instead posted the second screenshot on his Twitter account.

ESPN sports journalist Jemele Hill called the fan out and defended Chance for standing his ground. She wrote:

“Unpopular hot take: I don’t mind if people have an opinion on the lives of public figure, because that comes with the territory. But realize, they do have a right to respond and that’s not being sensitive either.”
