*If you like action thrillers and heist films, “211” in theaters now, on VOD and Digital HD, is not to be missed.
Stellar actor Cory Hardrict, who plays a cop in “211,” says in an exclusive interview with EURweb that he did not take his role lightly.
“Although I’ve been doing this for 25 years, once I was signed on to play Hanson [his character in “211”], I did some research on the lives of police officers.”
When it got physical, Hardrict did not pull any punches. “I did a lot of my own stunts,” Hardict offered, “so I made sure to be in great physical shape. For the most part, I got through it without any broken bones.” Unfortunately, however, co-star Nicholas Cage (Officer Chandler) broke an ankle.
In response to questions about working with Cage, Hardrict’s response was not surprising.
“Nick is very laid back and a joy to work with.”
When not working, Hardrict spends his time with wife Tia Mowry, son and infant daughter.
Known for “All Eyez on Me,” “American Sniper,” and “The Oath,” Hardrict’s other projects include the upcoming “City of Lies” with Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker, and “The Outpost” with Orlando Bloom and Scott Eastwood.
Directed by York Alec Shackleton, “211” is based on one of the longest and bloodiest real-life events involving the North Hollywood bank robbery that that took place in 1997. Michael Rainey Jr. is Kenny, the student whose punishment for rightfully punching out a bully who put his head in a school toilet has to do a ride-a-long with Cage. They ultimately get caught up in a fusillade of bullets during a gun battle. Sophie Skelton, Amanda Cerny, and Dwayne Cameron also star in “211.”
