*Lakers fans are sitting on pins and needles concerning LeBron James. The bottom line question they are wondering is will he sign with the Los Angeles team or the Philadelphia 76ers or even his old team, the Cleveland Cavaliers?
A report in The Sports Daily says James is set to meet with the Sixers brass in Los Angeles today. He also spoke with Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman just after the free agent market opened, may have already made up his mind.
Nick Wright of Fox Sports 1 is out with a report that says James has already come to a decision, and he’ll announce it on Tuesday morning.
So, it boils down to this. there good news coming for the Sixers, and quite the opposite for the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Lakers have been very quiet in free agency so far. They’ve failed to land any of the big-name free agents — with Paul George, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan signing deals with other teams.
Oh yeah, don’t count Cleveland out ’cause it may still be in the mix, with James having spoken with Altman.
It’s interesting that James could wait until Tuesday to announce his decision, though, being that many of the more talked-about free agents will be off the board by that time.
