Rick Ross Reaches Child Support Settlement Over 12-Year-Old Son

*Rick Ross has reportedly settled his child support battle with baby mama Tia Kemp after she took him back to court demanding a boost in her monthly check due to his increased success.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the former couple reached an agreement over her demand for an increase in child support for their 12-year-old son, William Roberts III. The amount will remain confidential, but the two reportedly reached the deal during a mediation and it resolves all their outstanding issues, reports The Blast.

Additionally, Ross agreed to pay the money directly in Kemp’s bank account.

Kemp originally sued Ross for paternity back in 2007 over their son. They eventually reached a confidential settlement over custody and support in 2010, but Kemp believed his income had increased substantially in the years since, reports The Blast.

In documents filed in October 2017, Kemp said she had been trying to get more child support since 2015 but accused Ross of refusing to comply with her discovery requests into his finances.

Ross claimed that Kemp was unemployed and utilized his child support payments to support her other kids and grandchildren from other relationships, all of whom live with her.

He also argued that Kemp did not deserve another increase in support and said the amount he already paid Kemp was adequate to meet the needs of their son. He was actually looking to have the monthly amount decreased.
