*The 2018 BET Awards is set for 8pm Eastern/7pm Central and 5pm Pacific, today/tonight. So if you want to see the Jamie Foxx hosted show as well as DJ Khaled, Migos, Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Cardi B go head-to-head for some of the top awards. Also, legendary singer Anita Baker will be honored.
Sounds exciting, right? However, if you don’t have tickets to the show being held in Los Angeles or you don’t have cable, no problema ’cause BET has got the digital hook up for ya.
As well as airing on its cable network, BET is offering live stream coverage of the entire show for its US and international fans to enjoy. Viewers in the states and 100 other countries can access the BET Awards live stream on their smart devices and laptops by downloading the BET Play app. It’s available via the App store for IOS (and in iTunes) and the Google Play store for Android. The fee is $3.99. But, you could say it’s FREE ’cause the network is also offering a seven-day trial of the app for no additional cost.

The Red Carpet
Along with the actual award show, viewers will be able to stream a live feed of the 2018 BET Awards red carpet where they’ll get to see a slew of nominees and guests arrive at the star-studded event.
The ceremony is expected to bring out artists like 2 Chainz, Big SEAN, H.E.R., Nicki Minaj, Miguel, Janelle Monà e, Ella Mai, Jay Rock and Yolanda Adams, all of whom are scheduled to take the stage during the show.
Meanwhile, celebrities like Kevin Hart, T.I., LL Cool. J, Jacob Lattimore, Mike Colder, Tyler Perry and several others are expected to hand out the highest honors of the night, including the BET Lifetime Achievement Award, which is set to be given to legendary soul, and R&B singer Anita Baker. As re reported, earlier this year Baker announced she would retire from music following one final farewell tour, which launched in March.

Speaking of Baker, videographer and EUR associate Keith O’Derek, Lee Bailey and other journalists interviewed Ms. Anita Baker backstage stage at the American Music Awards in 1989. Ms. Baker was as gracious as ever as she discussed touring while pregnant and more.

In other news from BET’s big weekend, the network also announced it would also hand out honors to six humanitarians for their selfless acts of bravery, including Parkland High School shooting survivor Anthony Borges; journalist Shaun King; James Shaw Jr., who disarmed an active shooter at a Waffle House in Tennessee; March for Our Lives speaker Naomi Wadler; National Walk Out Day protester Justin Blackman; and Mamoudou Gassama, who saved a child dangling from a building in Paris.
