*A suspect in the broad daylight murder of rapper XXXTentacion has been apprehended in Florida.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Department arrested 22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams on Wednesday evening and booked him for first-degree murder, according to TMZ.

Williams has previous arrests for cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm and grand theft auto, the website reports.

During an incident in 2014, Williams allegedly held a gun to his girlfriend’s head. According to arrest records, he has at least 11 felonies.

On Tuesday, the day after his death, XXXTentacion broke the single-day global streaming record on Spotify, surpassing previous topper Taylor Swift.

His song “SAD!” racked up 10.4 million Spotify streams on June 19, according to Spotifycharts.com. Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” had previously clocked 10.1 million streams on the day of its release, August 25, 2017.

Ironically, the feat is the latest in XXXTentacion’s rocky history with the streaming service. In a since-retracted policy move, his music was removed from Spotify’s playlists due to multiple charges against him; at the time of his death, the rapper (real name Jahseh Onfroy) was awaiting trial for abuse against his then-pregnant girlfriend Geneva Ayala and for several counts of witness-tampering in the case.

Ayala, meanwhile, said she was kicked out of his Florida vigil after fans burned the things she brought to pay tribute to him.

Watch below:

Hours later, Ayala posted – then immediately deleted – video on Instagram appearing to show herself (in black) fighting in the middle of the street with an unknown woman.

The fight was allegedly organized over Twitter in messages that have since been deleted. The woman had accused Ayala of being a “snitch” on social media for her allegations against XXXTentacion.

After fisticuffs were exchanged, the two presumably went their separate ways without major injuries.

XXXTentacion was fatally shot in his car on Monday in Deerfield Beach, Fla., by an unknown assailant in an apparent robbery; the investigation remains open and police have not identified any suspects or a motive.
