*We all know of the horror that’s happening at the southern border: Donald Trump and his government’s recent policy of splitting up immigrant families. Well, while all the madness ensues, House Speaker Paul Ryan put up a video of his children. Needless to say, entertainer and ardent Trump/GOP critic, John Legend was not impressed with Ryan and said so in no uncertain terms.
“Seriously f—k you. Reunite the families at the border and we can talk about father’s day.”
As the EUR and many other outlets have reported, the Trump administration has come under fire for their recent policy wherein they are separating parents and children attempting to cross the southern border into the US. In May this year, Attorney General Jeff Sessions had declared that they are going to have a ‘zero tolerance’ policy for illegal immigrants. He added that any adult who enters the country of the US by illegal means would be criminally prosecuted and since US protocol prohibits detaining children with their parents, the children would be separated from their parents.

Ryan had titled his video as ‘How becoming a father changed my life’ and in this video, he showed how having children had changed his ambitions over the course of his career. He captioned it as:
“My life changed the day I became a father.”
Referring to his kids, he added:
“Lisa, Charlie, and Sam are my highest priority. Wishing all of the dads out there a happy early #FathersDay.”
As we said up top, John and wife Chrissy Teigen are stone opponents of Trump and his bizarre policies. Chrissy is no fan of Trump. He has surpassed all low expectations of him and people are shocked at it. Chrissy had heavily criticized the new policy and donated $ 72K to the American Civil Liberties Union to mark Trump’s 72nd birthday and implored everyone else to contribute what they could for it. The United Nations Human Rights office has also criticized the law as being inhumane.
“The President celebrates his 72nd birthday today. On this auspicious occasion, in order to make Trump’s Birthday Great Again, each member of our family has donated $72000 to the ACLU.”
She made the contribution on behalf of herself, John, Luna, and Miles.
Meanwhile, as far as Paul Ryan’s political career is concerned, in April, the Speaker of the House stated that his goal was to spend more time with his wife and children and this was the reason that he was not seeking re-election.
Some (and we can put down John Legend as one in particular), will say it’s an irony and comes as a surprise that Paul Ryan, who begs to seen as a sensitive father and husband is supporting the Trump administration’s inhumane policy of separating children from their biological mothers and fathers.
