*Jay-Z is being sued by a music veteran who claims he is owed royalties dating back roughly 10 years, reports TMZ.

Raynard Herbert says he used his industry connections to help land Jay’s Roc-A-Fella a distribution deal in 1995. In return, he was supposed to get 1% of sales on the famed “Reasonable Doubt” album, which Herbert also claims to have helped master.

According to the docs, the arrangement was going fine until November 2008, when the checks stopped cold.

Herbert says he reached out to Jay-Z’s peeps in May 2010 to inquire about his missing royalty payments, and to also update his address, but was unable to make contact.

Herbert claims since then, he’s not been paid his contractually promised 1% on “Reasonable Doubt.” He’s suing to get what he believes he’s owed, plus damages, interest and extra fees.
