*“Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada has accused her former publicist of defamation for allegedly spreading lies about her to her co-stars in an attempt to have them featured on the reality series, according to The Blast.

Lozada filed suit on May 31 against her ex-publicist, Danika Berry, over comments she allegedly made about Lozada and her ex-husband, Chad Johnson.

Although they no longer worked together after falling out in December 2016, Lozada says Berry defamed her to several people in the entertainment industry, including an incident where Berry allegedly told a reporter that while Lozada was married to Johnson, she was secretly having sex with a prominent New Orleans music mogul.
Lozada says the statement was published on a website in February 2018.

According to The Blast, Lozada sent off a cease and desist to her former publicist following the allegations being published. But despite the legal warning, Lozada claims Berry went on to tell fellow “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman that Lozada was the actual aggressor in the domestic dispute with Johnson that then led to their divorce.

She claims her ex-publicist made the comments to Roman with the intent to have her bring up the false information during filming of “Basketball Wives” in an attempt to harm her personally and professionally.

Lozada is suing for unspecified damages.

A rep for Danika tells The Blast, “She has no knowledge of the lawsuit or the allegations within it. She is not a viewer of the show and is not aware of any storylines.”
