*After Pusha T’s brutal diss track “The Story of Adidon” exposed Drake’s alleged baby mama and blackface history, more info has surfaced to put both issues in context.
As previously reported, Pusha T rapped about Drake having a secret son, Adonis, with former porn star Sophie Brussaux, and insinuated that Drake has nothing to do with either of them. But TMZ reports that Drizzy is far from a deadbeat dad:
Sources close to Drake tell us the rapper’s been cutting checks to insure Sophie Brussaux — the woman Pusha T claims Drake has a secret son with — lives comfortably. We’re told Drake’s been supporting Sophie since she gave birth, and just before that as well.
Our sources say Drake plans to take a DNA test to figure out any possible future legalities, but he feels there’s a slight chance the kid is his.
And get this — sources working on Drake’s new album tell us he planned to reveal everything about his new son on his upcoming album — a plan that will obviously need some tweaking.
As for the blackface photos that Pusha T used as the cover art for “The Story of Adidon,” Drake has come out himself to explain the background behind the photo shoot.
The pics were rumored to stem from a Toronto fashion line’s photo shoot, but that wasn’t the case. They were taken in 2007 to represent “how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment,” he explained in an Instagram Story. When the photos were taken the former “Degrassi” star was pursuing a career in acting and “working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotypes and typecast.”

“I know everyone is enjoying the circus but I want to clarify this image in question. This was not from a clothing brand shoot or my music career. This picture is from 2007, a time in my life where I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment. Me and my best friend at the time Mazin Elsadig who is also an actor from Sudan were attempting to use our voice to bring awareness to the issues we dealt with all the time as black actors at auditions. This was to highlight and raise our frustrations with not always getting a fair chance in the industry and to make a point that the struggle for black actors had not changed much.”
