Eve on the ‘N-word’: ‘No One Should Use it … Black, White, Whatever’ (WATCH)

*The hosts of THE TALK discuss Kendrick Lamar calling out a white fan for saying the “N” word after he invited her on stage.

“I know she was singing the song the way she sings it when she listens to it with her friends… it’s just that word is not a word that people should use,” says Eve.

She adds …

“No one should use it, black, white, whatever…I use it a lot in my earlier career, and I consciously now don’t really use it that much… it kind of maybe slips out because that’s the way I grew up and that’s how you talk to your friends, but I don’t use it in my music, I don’t write about it, I don’t write it in my music anymore. I can understand how it could be confusing to someone because they might like a song a certain way, but I think we know at this point that that’s just not a word you should say, and especially if you aren’t black…And is it right, should we still be using it, should we be saying it to each other? Probably not. I just don’t think we should be using it.”

She adds, “I’ve been taking pills, I’ve been eating better…and I had an allergic reaction to some hair growth medication and every place hair was growing it was itching…so my doctor put me on a different medication.” Eve shares, “I’ve worn weaves for a lot of my life and girls that wear weaves know, it’s called traction alopecia.
