*Michael Jackson will soon have a street named after him in Detroit, where he and his brothers launched their meteoric rise to stardom.

On Thursday, the Detroit City Council announced that Randolph Street between Gratiot Avenue and Madison Street in Detroit’s Theater District will be renamed Michael Jackson Avenue to honor the late King of Pop.

The street-renaming ceremony will be held June 15 as part of the Detroit Music Weekend festival.

Members of the Jackson 5 (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon) will be on hand to receive a key to the city from Mayor Mike Duggan and will perform during the festival.

The Jackson 5 were signed to famed Detroit label Motown Records in 1969 and became the first group to debut with four consecutive number one hits on the Hot 100 with the songs “I Want You Back”, “ABC”, “The Love You Save”, and “I’ll Be There.”
