*T.I. has released a video responding to his arrest that took place as he tried to enter his own gated community outside Atlanta. Also, the guard’s 911 call and jailhouse surveillance footage has surfaced — all as the rapper’s lawyer is alleging “wrongful arrest” and saying Tip was never given the opportunity to tell his side of the story before police took him into custody.

As previously reported, the rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, had lost his key and the guard wouldn’t let him into the gated complex in Henry County, GA.  T.I. got heated and the guard, feeling threatened, called the cops. T.I. was arrested for simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, but T.I. and his lawyer, Steve Sadow, say that there’s more to the story.

“I guess y’all have been hearing all the nonsense you know saying, I’m looking like yesterday man, I was inconvenienced and arrested,” T.I. said. “With all we done been through, this is small potatoes, man.”

The rapper didn’t let the arrest affect his day and instead went to his son’s school to celebrate his birthday.

“I’m here, present at school. Ain’t been to sleep, but guess what, God is good all the time,” he continued. “Alright, so I’m going to get back in here man and continue to kick it with my 10-year-old and my 2-year-old, and we’re going to let God deal with the craziness.”

As previously reported, Sadow said the guard was catching some zzzz’s when his client arrived at the guardhouse and it took “some time to wake up the sleeping guard.” Sadow said T.I. identified himself and sought entry, but the guard claimed he couldn’t find T.I. on the resident directory and refused to let him in. The rapper called his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, who confirmed that her husband should be allowed in, according to his lawyer.

T.I. told TMZ that Tiny told the guard, “Just let him in.” T.I. claims the guard barked back at Tiny, “Who the f*** do you think you is talking to me like this?” And that’s when things went all the way left.

T.I. admits yelling obscenities at the guard, and reminding him, “I pay you,” according to TMZ. After demanding entry again, T.I. says the guard relented, but when the rapper demanded his name in order to report him to a supervisor, he says the guard only stared with a “blank face.”

T.I. says he went home, cooled down and then decided to walk back to get the guy’s name — but only got more of the silent treatment. He admits, at this point, saying, “You can step outside the booth into the street, so we can talk.”

Saddow’s statement continued: “Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or a supervisor called the police.”

T.I. says he saw the guard on the phone telling cops, “Yes, a black male right in front of me in a striped shirt.” According to TMZ, T.I.’s upset that the responding officers spoke to the guard and his supervisor behind closed doors, then handcuffed him before even asking his side of the story.

Listen to the guard’s 911 call below:

“When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip’s side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip,” Saddow said in the statement.

T.I. adds neither the police nor the guard’s supervisor looked at surveillance video to confirm what really happened.

Meanwhile, TMZ has shared video of T.I.’s booking process at Henry County Jail early Wednesday, where he is seen seeking an explanation from the cop who arrested him. The officer tells Tip he was “acting like a fool.” T.I. claims it’s his right as a homeowner in the community to question the security guard working the gate.

The two eventually agree to settle the matter in court and T.I. was eventually released without bail.
