*Meek Mill has pissed off a lot of Nicki Minaj fans after he shaded her during her sit down with “The Breakfast Club.”
Meek continues making press rounds since being released early from prison two weeks ago. As you know, the rapper was ordered to serve a 2-4 year sentence after violating his parole in 2017. After serving six months, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered his release.
Meek followed up his interview with Dateline’s Lester Holt by chopping it up with the hosts of Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club.” One hot topic was his ex Nicki. She recently spoke about Meek’s case and controversial Judge Genece Brinkley during an interview with Zane Lowe for Beats
She said:
“The judge in question did everything I asked of her, so I can’t badmouth her because I met her personally,” the “Chun Li” rapper said. “I know what she said to us. He knows that I know that. Of course, I wouldn’t wish jail on anybody but…I’ll get into detail on that in the documentary and possibly on the album.”
DJ Envy brought up Minaj’s comments but he misquoted her. He said the Queens rapper commented that “the judge did the right thing, or something like that.”
Meek said he wasn’t feeling what Nicki said and felt she shouldn’t have said anything at all.
“I wasn’t feeling that,” he said. “She shouldn’t have said nothing. We’ll leave it at that. I don’t feel no way. I wasn’t feeling that. When it come to freedom — I don’t care who it is, this could be Safaree, or anybody — if I know something and that man’s freedom is on the line and I could say something to help the situation…It’s right or wrong. I’ma say it. If I don’t say it, I just won’t say nothing.”
Some of Nicki’s comments in the Beats 1 interview made people feel like she was on the judge’s side.

The Philly native, who recently celebrated a birthday, also opened up about his drug addiction and how he got hooked in the first place.
“I never had molly in my life. I thought [Percocet] was okay, I wouldn’t be addicted, or it wouldn’t hurt me because it’s a pill that a doctor would prescribe you. A girl gave it to me one day, ‘This is gonna make you fuck for an hour.’ Yeah? Let me try this. This a pill that a doctor would give me if I had a toothache. Sometimes you gotta go overboard. I made girls fall in love with me off Percs.”
He continued, “I got addicted. It wasn’t a mental thing. It’s just, when you don’t take it, your body’s shutting down. If you’re addicted to opioids, it’s like heroine…it’s an addiction. You shouldn’t go to jail for addiction. It should be rehabilitation.”
Meek was able to get doctors to come to his house in Atlanta to flush his system out and to help him ween off the drugs.
On his infamous rap war with Drake, Meek said: “I ain’t talk to him yet. I seen him on FaceTime the other day…It was good energy. He put good energy in the air. What happened-happened. We moved past that. I think we’ll have a conversation or something when we see each other and keep it moving in life.”
He also shared his thoughts on Kanye West and his controversial pro-Trump support.
“When Kanye speaking, he’s trying to deliver something…and you got to be informed. Even a lot of stuff he’s speaking on is serious stuff. It’s people locked behind them walls, they’re basically scholars to this stuff and they’ve been in prison their whole lives. They’re offended by this stuff. I even talked to him one day.”
He continued, “He need to visit a prison. Go see what’s going on.”
As for the support from his industry colleagues, Meek said he was freaking out when Beyonce shouted him out on “Top Off.”
“Beyoncé ain’t shouting no ni**as out. I took that as God really working in my favor. You got Bey talking about ‘Free Meek Mill.’ That was a great day…These people got a lot of influence. They basically helping to save my life.”
