*Giuliana Rancic was back on E! News Monday night to weigh in on red carpet fashions during the Met Gala alongside a panel that included African American fashionista and former Teen Vogue editor, Elaine Welteroth.

Welp, the celebrity journalist again found herself on the wrong end of commentary regarding a black woman’s hairstyle.

At issue this time…the black doo-rag worn by Solange Knowles at this year’s Met Gala.

As Welteroth delightfully described the look as Black Madonna-inspired, and Solange as “always representing for the culture,” Rancic’s expression made it appear as if she disagreed with all the above.

Rancic’s apparent side-eye prompted Solange’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, to post online: “I love this commentator Elaine Welteroth!!! But what is that face Giuliana?”

Tina’s mention of Giuliana was later deleted, according to the New York Post, but not before inspiring others to weigh in.

If you recall, Rancic infamously dissed Zendaya’s dreadlocks at the 2015 Oscars, saying she must have smelled of “patchouli” and “weed.” (See video above.)
