the real crew - 05-09-18

*On Wednesday, May 9, the ladies of “The Real” discussed how wearing Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa label on the red carpet has become controversial in the wake of the allegations against her estranged husband, Harvey Weinstein, and co-host Jeannie Mai brings up a possible solution for the designer. Also, it turns out Jeannie is a serial love biter – and co-host Loni Love is her next victim!

And actor Boris Kodjoe stops by to talk about his series Code Black, and to play a game of “You Bet Your Wife,” about his wife, recent guest Nicole Ari Parker.

Adrienne Houghton: Yesterday… yesterday in front of the audience after the show, we were telling the audience how much we love them – what did I do that you bit me?

Jeannie Mai: She just is so cute…

Tamera Mowry-Housley: She’s so cute!

Jeannie: There’s so many things Adrienne does, and she’s just so – she’s beautiful, she’s adorable and she’s funny as hell, so I was just like, “Girl, I love you!” [mimes biting on Tamera’s wrist]

Adrienne: You guys, I have a full on dental record on my hand. I was like, “Yo, if forensics came, they would know Jeannie Mai did this.”

Jeannie: It’s bad, but –

Tamera: Yeah, but so how would you answer the question? If forensics came to you and they said, “Did you bite Adrienne or did you LOVE bite Adrienne,” how would you respond?

Jeannie: Um… I wouldn’t wear my Invisalign for a few days so my teeth would change and when she took a picture, I’d be like, “That ain’t me, that’s some jacked up teeth right there, and that’s not this.”

Tamera: See?

[The Real Audience laughs]

Loni Love: I know one thing. We ain’t bringing Jeannie when we go meet Beyoncé, I tell you that much!

Adrienne: For sure!

Jeannie: Yeah! I would probably… I don’t know. Does anybody bite their kids… you bite your kids?

Tamera: Yeah, I do!

Loni: Who is biting people?! What are y’all doing?!

Jeannie: You know what I’m talking about though!

Adrienne: [To the audience] By a show of hands, how many of you have love-bit somebody before? Is that correct English?

[People in audience raise hands]

Loni: What?!

Jeannie: Especially –

Adrienne: By applause, by applause.

Loni: Ok, love-bite me, love-bite me.

Adrienne: That’s how many people have been…

Loni: What is a love-bite?

Jeannie: Ok. [takes Loni’s arm]

Loni: This is a love-bite. What is a love-bite?

Jeannie: A love-bite is when you feel the arm…

Loni: Do not hurt me.

Jeannie: And you get the gushiest part, which is right underneath, right here, this good stuff right here, and you go [sinks teeth into Loni’s arm]

Adrienne: We need a closeup on this.

Loni: [screams]

Adrienne: Closeup camera! Where you at? You gotta see the mite – the marks that it leaves!

Tamera: Oh lord. JEANNE MAI! Oh my goodness!

Jeannie: Hey!

Adrienne; That was me yesterday.

Jeannie: This is love! I love my sister, okay hunnay?

Loni: She’s gonna turn me into sushi!
