Mel B and Stephen Belafonte Forced to Unite to Deal with Huge Tax Lien

*Singer Mel B and her estranged ex, Stephen Belafonte, are no longer a two-some, but as far as the state of California is concerned, they may as well be back together.

That’s because the Franchise Tax Board put in place a humungous lien against the two that comes to over a quarter million bucks.

The pair is accused of owing back taxes from 2016 and the grand total comes to $274,863.99, according to documents obtained by The Blast:

This, of course, isn’t the only legal issue that the duo currently has to deal with. Mel B and her ex are still dealing with their messy, and seemingly endless divorce battle.

Mel B and Stephen got hitched in 2007 but separated nearly decade later in a dramatic fashion. The couple’s separation was rife with scandal from the start, and despite the fact that they were officially divorced in 2017, they’re still fighting it out in court.

In other Mel B news …

The former Spice Girls singer has been relisted her lavish L.A. home with another price cut.

According to Page Six, the Spice Girl initially put the home on the market after splitting from her husband, Stephen Belafonte, early last year. The divorce was finalized in December.

The home, which is now priced at $7.5 million, was listed last March for $9 million. When no buyers stepped forward, the price dropped by $1 million a month later. With no sale, it was eventually taken off the market until this week.

The owners still stand to make a hefty profit from a potential home sale. As Realtor.com previously reported, Mel and Stephen purchased the property in 2014 for $4.3 million, and then gave the place a makeover.

But who will benefit from the proceeds from the eventual sale?

The Daily Mail reported that Mel and her ex are now “warring” over the home, although the two apparently agreed initially to split the profits, but Brown has reportedly backtracked.

Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Belafonte said Brown made it difficult to sell because she allegedly refused him access to the home to make repairs.
