*DMX is serving time for tax fraud in a different prison than originally planned.

He was originally scheduled to serve for one year at FCI Danbury in Connecticut (the “Orange is the New Black” prison), but on Tuesday was transferred instead to FCI Hazelton in West Virginia.

The rapper’s lawyer said the Bureau of Prisons decided to make a last minute change.

According to The Blast, X is happy with the last minute switch because of Hazelton’s treatment programs for addiction.

DMX will also get to participate in Hazelton’s extensive arts & crafts department, which gives inmates access to oils, pastels, crayons, pencils, inks, and charcoal. Other crafts available include ceramics, leatherwork, models, clay, mosaics, crochet, knitting, sculptures and woodworking.

As for DMX’s family, they are now further away than he wanted, but reportedly plan on visiting regularly.

He’s due for release in 2019.
