*Russell Simmons is trying to get the latest rape claim against him dismissed outright, insisting this particular accuser is just looking for a financial windfall.
The unnamed woman, one of 16 who have made sexual assault allegations against the Def Jam Records co-founder, claims he raped her in a Sacramento, California hotel room after a concert she attended with her young son.
She is seeking $10 million in punitive damages for “severe emotional distress.”
Simmons has already released a blanket statement denying all allegations, saying they’ve “shocked me to my core as I have never been abusive or violent in any way in my relations with women.”
In new documents obtained by TMZ, Simmons says the latest rape claims are “pure fiction” and nothing but an attempt “to extort large sums of money from Mr. Simmons and for her lawyer to try to make a name for himself.”
