Pulitzer Prize Winner Kendrick Lamar to Headline Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2018

*Kendrick Lamar’s first booked gig as a Pulitzer Prize winner has been set.

Fresh from making history as the first non-classical or -jazz artist to win the prestigious prize, the Compton rapper will headline Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert, to be held on June 10 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Dubbed “94 ‘Til Infinity,” the show will also include performances by Lil Wayne, A$AP Ferg, Rich Da Kid and Remy Ma. In addition, the station also announced that Don Q and Snoopy Deniro will receive the “Who’s Next” slots.

Tickets for the general public go on sale April 20 at 10 a.m. ET. See the full line-up below.

In revealing Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize for his latest album “DAMN.” on Monday (April 16), the Pulitzer board called his effort a “virtuosic song collection” that captures “the modern African-American life.” The honor also comes with a $15,000 check.

Lamar joins such company as Bob Dylan, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Wynton Marsalis and Hank Williams among musicians who have won a Pulitzer.
