*Richard Lawson had some tea to spill about his stepdaughter Beyonce’s “On the Run II” tour with husband Jay-Z.
The couple has kept creative details of the summer jaunt under wraps, but Lawson, 71, is currently on a press tour for his new drama series “In Contempt,” and is being pumped for any info he has regarding his famous stepchild.
“This is gonna be really a culmination of their growth and their ability to really confront the hard subjects and the hard issues.” Lawson told People about their upcoming tour.
Beyoncé famously addressed Jay-Z’s infidelity and their reconciliation with her 2016 visual album “Lemonade.” In 2017, he responded with his confessional, apologetic album “4:44.” The tour, according to Lawson, will reflect the growth of both artists in their marraige.
“Well, look at what they’ve been through in the last couple of years in terms of the things that they’ve confronted and the way that they’ve put it into art,” Lawson said in the interview.
Lawson also doted on Beyoncé’s caring nature. “She has more care and more concern and more love for humanity,” he told People. “I cannot tell you how proud I am of her and just how much I appreciate knowing such a large spirit. She’s an incredible human being.”
