What is it About This Photo/Video of Aretha Franklin That’s Verrrry ‘Revealing?’

*Umm, er, maybe it’s our eyes or imagination, but in this vintage video from back in the day, a younger and supa-fine Aretha Franklin is being interviewed by one Don Cornelius on “Soul Train.” As you can see, she definitely has his attention.

Now, as far as our eyes and imagination are concerned, are we seeing some straight bare tit-tay action from Sista Re?

Yes, we have to ask ’cause that’s what it appears to be to us. If not, we’re wondering if perhaps some of you ladies could offer a possible explanation.

Oh yeah, not that we don’t already know, but getting back to Mr. Cornelius, what’s up with his interview with her? Normally his chit-chats with guests last about 10 to 15 or 20 seconds. However, in this one, the late, great host is stammering, mumbling, skinnin’ & grinnin’ and stalling, er, taking his time, it seems. We see you Don. 🙂

Again ladies, we’re waiting …

In more recent Aretha Franklin news …

*Somebody done let the cat out the bag. And that somebody is none other than record mogul Clive Davis.

OK, put it this way. He didn’t so much as let the cat out the bag as he made official what had been rumored for quite some time.

At his last pre-Grammy party back in January (2018), Davis introduced singer/actress Jennifer Hudson to sing a couple songs, and then told the audience that Hudson will be playing Aretha Franklin – who hand picked her – in an upcoming biopic about the life of the Queen of Soul, reports Deadline.

If you’ve been following this story, which has been around for several years, you already know that Hudson was being considered for the role after Halle Berry (Aretha’s first choice) had turned it down.

As far as Davis’ party is concerned, it began with performances by Barry Manilow, Luis Fonsi, Ben Platt, Alicia Keys, Khalid and Logic. Hudson was the last singer to perform and of course she threw down on Franklin’s classics “Think,” and “Respect.”
