Vivica A. Fox Talks Booty Lights, Failed Relationships on ‘The Doctors’ (WATCH)

*Vivica A. Fox co-hosts today’s episode of “The Doctors.” The actress and producer, who will star in TV show “Face The Truth” this fall and just released her new book, gives tips for a successful life, spills the inside scoop on “Kill Bill and shares how she made it through her very public breakups.

Why She Wrote Everyday I’m Hustling: “I’m just like everyone else, I’ve been knocked down and had to get back up, and my goal with the book is to let people know they can go gracefully into different chapters of their life, because that’s what life is about.”

On Her Past Relationships: “You have to know that if something is meant for you absolutely nobody can take it away, and if some things don’t work out they don’t work out for a reason…you all know I’ve had some crazy relationships that didn’t work out and I’ve had to learn how to walk away with my head held high, to love myself and to know that I am worthy of having a good partner in my life.”

On Her Iconic Fight Scene in Kill Bill: The funny thing about filming that scene was that I had a special booty light. When I kicked the door in the booty light was right there, and then when I was coming into the living room and walking backwards…when I saw it up on the screen I was like WOW.”

Advice From Uma Thurman: “I am very aggressive by nature. I’m a Leo and proud of it and I’m a lioness, and I had to learn when to have my claws out and when to pull them back in. Every Friday we had to have a progress report with Quentin…and one week I had just had it up to here, and that Leo just came out, that’s all I’m going to say…” She continues, “Afterwards Uma pulled me to the side and said ‘learn to get out of your own way…you have to know when to accept constructive criticism…you have to learn to be more manipulative.’”

Has she changed? “I used to be just like the bull in the china tea shop, just barreling my way through, and I’ve worked with some amazing ladies like Uma and Jada Pickett Smith that have passed on knowledge to me that took me a little while to accept, but now being a grown woman I have learned when to pump the breaks and definitely learned to listen a lot more instead of hearing only what I want to hear.”
