Mary J. Blige, Andra Day to Honor Nina Simone at Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

*R&B stars Mary J. Blige and Andra Day have been invited to posthumously honor Nina Simone as she is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2018 induction ceremony, which will take place on April 14 in Cleveland, where Andra will perform a tribute to Simone.

Blige tells RollingStone.com, “I am such a huge Nina Simone fan, and am beyond thrilled and honored to be a part of her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.”

Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard will present for late gospel icon Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

“It is a huge honor to induct Sister Rosetta Tharpe to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” she tells Rolling Stone. “She has been such an inspiration. I hope this spotlight helps people discover what so many of us already know. She is one of the greatest artists of all time.”

Other special guests include Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, who will salute rockers The Cars; Heart star Ann Wilson, who will celebrate The Moody Blues, and shock jock Howard Stern, who will honor Bon Jovi.
