*Afropunk Fest has revealed the performance lineup for its 2018 events in Brooklyn and Atlanta.

Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae and Tyler the Creator will headline the Brooklyn edition, to take place at Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene on August 25 and 26. Miguel, The Internet, H.E.R., Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Smino, and Jaden and Willow Smith round out the Brooklyn bill.

The Atlanta event, which takes place on October 13 and 14, will feature N.E.R.D, Noname, Little Simz, Kari Faux so far, with more names to be announced later this year.

Afropunk Fest’s 2018 theme is The People Resist, which “brings together Afropunk ideology and the people who support it, in resistance to those that strive to oppress.”

The annual festival has also expanded to international markets including Paris, London, and Johannesburg.

Organizers have introduced a new ticketing system called Buy One, Give One (BOGO) in which each general admission ticket purchased will allow a New York City youth, who has been participating in art programs like Recess Art and Young New Yorkers, the opportunity to attend the festival.
