*WGN America’s limited thriller series “Shoot the Messenger” follows Daisy (Elyse Levesque), a young journalist who, while working on her first murder case, becomes embroiled in a web of urban gangs, the political class, corporate power-brokers and the police.
On tonight’s episode titled “I Shall Be Released,” Daisy is unable to handle the pressures of the case, while scandalous revelations shed light on multiple players in the investigation.

This week’s episode also finds Daisy and Simon discovering some shocking information about Orlandio Spence. and Judge Reeves, while Lutz is forced to work with the Guns and Gangs unit. He is surprised to discover they are running a wire into a separate investigation and have set their sights on Hassan’s boss, Eric Lawson.
Meanwhile, Daisy spirals downwards after witnessing a second murder that is also connected to Hassan. Feeling alone and discarded, her drinking reveals the real source of her fears.
“I Shall Be Released” episode of “Shoot the Messenger” airs Monday, March 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on WGN.
