The couple were recently special guests on “Breakfast Club” Power 105.1 FM, where Mo’Nique came on to discuss why Charlamagne gave her “Donkey of The Day” after she encouraged her fans and social media followers to boycott Netflix.
Mo’s beef with the streaming service stems from a failed contract negotiation for a stand-up special. Charlamagne believes Mo’Nique is not relevant enough to receive more than half a million, which is what Netflix offered her.
Mo thinks she deserves the millions she is asking for, and she’s right to call out Netflix for participating in racial and gender inequality.

Netflix paid Tiffany Haddish (one of the most relevant and culturally popular comedians right now) only $800k. Mo’Nique was fucking RIGHT while y’all were being cute.

During their latest “Open Relationship” Podcast, Mo’Nique and Sidney address her “Breakfast Club” appearance and heated conversation with Whoopi Goldberg on “The View,” as well as Oprah’s recent interview with Global Grind.
Mo says after she and Whoopi wrapped their conversation on-camera, Whoopi told her off-camera that she should have gone to Cannes for Lee Daniels to support their movie “Precious.” Whoopi also told her that she needs to take some responsibility for being blacklisted in Hollywood and that she’s being ill-advised by her husband, as he is the real issue — and many fans have also expressed their concerns about how he’s handling her career.
Mo’Nique says she doesn’t like it when Black women come for her to talk about Sidney, who she claims is qualified to manage her career because of his “ability to utilize common sense.”
Scroll down to watch the podcast, during which Mo’Nique and Stanley also go in on Will Packer, Tyler Perry and the “bully” Oprah who will destroy your career if you don’t do as she commands… according to Mo’Nique.
As for Charlamagne, Mo asks: “How can Charlamagne call himself a God when Gods don’t run from men when they get punched in the face.”
