Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Janelle Monae Set for 2018 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards

*“Black Panther” stars Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett will join singer Janelle Monae, “Get Out” actor Milton “Lil Rel” Howery and “Dear White People” filmmaker Justin Simien as confirmed presenters for the 2018 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.

As previously announced, four breakout talents will be honored: Danai Gurira (Black Panther), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Tessa Thompson (Westworld, Annihilation) and Emmy Award winner Lena Waithe (Master of None, The Chi).

The 11th annual awards ceremony will revert back to its traditional daytime luncheon format when it returns to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 1.

And for the fourth consecutive year, the ceremony will air as a primetime special on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network on March 3 (10 p.m. ET/PT).
