*Tonight, Sunday, February 11 at 7pm Eastern, TV One will premiere “Behind the Movement,” the anticipated back story of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This story shows how Rosa Parks and a few lesser known leaders of the NAACP planned the Montgomery Bus Boycott in only three days.
In the movie, you will get a closer look at some of the other people who spurred this instrumental event and encouraged Rosa to be the face of the history-making Montgomery Bus Boycott.
Loretta Devine plays Jo Ann Robinson who was a part of a group of everyday people that decided to take a stand for their civil rights. Some of the prior work of Loretta Devine include: being an original Dreamgirl, the recently ended “Carmichael Show,” “Naked” (“Netflix”), “Being Mary Jane” (“BET”) and “Waiting To Exhale” opposite the late Whitney Houston.
Devine sat Down with EURweb correspondent Miss Conversation Piece to talk “Behind the Movement” and her thoughts on the Civil Rights Movement and its impact today.

In the TV movie you will see how behind the scenes, leaders organized this demand for equal treatment despite the reservations due to safety concerns.
The importance of Rosa Parks’ story and the stories of the other unsung heroes behind this movement will be portrayed by the cast Isaiah Washington (Edgar “E.D. Nixon”), Meta Golding (Rosa Parks), Roger Guenveur Smith (Raymond Parks) LaShaun Clay (Rev. King), and Derek Roberts (Fred Gray.)
The cast has spoken on how much they learned taking on their roles in the film and are excited to bring to life legends that made such and impact with little to no fanfare.
