The entertainment industry has lost another player. Actor Reg E. Cathey, died Friday at age 59 after a reported battle with lung cancer. Cathey’s fight with the disease obviously didn’t stop him completely from working. In fact, we’ll be blessed with his appearance on season 2 of Luke Cage. He’ll be playing Cage’s father on the Netflix series from Marvel.

Actor Reg E. Cathey, who had roles in the hit series “House of Cards” and “The Wire,” has died, a Hollywood TV series creator reported. He was 59. Cathey’s death was first reported late Friday on Twitter by “The Wire” creator David Simon.
