Janet Jackson is making it absolutely clear to one and all that she will NOT be on stage with Justin Timberlake during this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
“To put to rest any speculation or rumors as to whether I will be performing at the Super Bowl tomorrow; I will not,” Jackson said in a statement released Saturday. “Thank you for your support and I do look forward to seeing you all very soon.”
Timberlake is returning to the scene of the crime, er, halftime show 14 years after the infamous wardrobe malfunction with Jackson caused a national controversy. Timberlake was Jackson’s special guest during her performance at that year’s game and ripped off a piece of her clothing, revealing her breast and nipple. Timberlake later described it as an unintended “wardrobe malfunction” and thus a new term was born.
CBS, which aired that Super Bowl, was fined $550,000 by the Federal Communications Commission, but the fine later was overturned.

*In other news, Bruno Mars, off his multi-win night at the Grammys a week ago (01-28-18), is headed back out on the road for the “finale” leg of his 24K Magic World Tour and he’s bringing super hot raptress Cardi B along with him.

Of course Cardi B will be hangin’ with him because of the off-the-chain success of Mars’ “Finesse (Remix)” that features Miss Cardi B.
On Friday, the day the announcement was made, Mars said that the North American leg would hit up Boston, Brooklyn, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, Newark, Philadelphia, St. Paul, Toronto and Tulsa.
“Annndddd…what if I told u imma bring my lil sis @iamcardib on tour so we can really turn your city upside down! Make this finale a party,” Mars teased on Twitter Thursday, with Cardi B responding on Instagram, “Mhhhhhhmmm. That sounds like a great idea.”
As far as Cardi B is concerned, her brand continues to grow. As we reported earlier, she was also cast in a commercial for Amazon which will air during the Super Bowl. And she’s been tapped to perform at the upcoming 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
