*The Spice Girls have agreed to reunite for the first time since 2012, and the iconic 90’s group will reportedly receive $10 million each for a series of new projects.

After previously expressing her reluctance, NME reports that “Victoria Beckham agreed to join forces after receiving assurances that she wouldn’t have to lend her vocals to the project.”

The Spice Girls – Mel “Scary” B, Victoria “Posh” Beckham, Emma “Baby” Bunton, Mel “Sporty” C, and Geri “Ginger” Halliwell – formed in 1994 and went on to sell 85 million albums worldwide. The “Girl Power” pioneers last performed at the Olympics Closing Ceremony in 2012.

The ladies broke the Internet on Friday (Feb. 2) when they were photographed arriving at Halliwell’s London house (see above), where they most likely discussed reuniting to work on a series of projects, including TV shows, endorsements, and a greatest hits compilation.

The group later released a statement confirming they were reuniting and exploring “incredible new opportunities together.”

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together,” it read.

“We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.”

Bunton and Beckham also shared photos from the reunion meeting on their Instagram pages, with Posh Spice captioning her a picture of the women along with their old manager Simon Fuller: “Love u all so much!!! X Such a great day!! Thank u Simon! X VB”.

A source told The Sun: “This is the pop reunion no one thought would ever happen again. But after a long period of negotiation Victoria agreed the time is right to work on new projects this year.

“It’s very exciting because she has always been adamant she wouldn’t go back.”

“Victoria and Geri agreed it would be impossible to be part of a fully-fledged tour because of family and business commitments”, the source added.

“Now that she’s a top designer Victoria is concerned about singing but she wants to make money to pump back into her business.”

Victoria Beckham has always dismissed talk of reuniting with the group.

“It is not happening. At some point you’ve gotta know when it’s time say, ‘that was great’,” she told Alison Hammond on This Morning last year.

“Girl Power will always be out there and is something that we all still believe.”
