*Today, Friday, February 2, “The Real” celebrates National Wear Red Day to show their support and raise awareness about cardiovascular disease.

The ladies also discuss whether getting in shape for a proposal is proper preparation or just too presumptuous, and co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley reveals the time she overly anticipated her husband Adam’s proposal. In addition, she explains the scary moment that made her shift to living a healthier lifestyle.

The Time Tamera Didn’t Get Proposed to…

Tamera Mowry-Housley: The one time I thought Adam was going to propose it didn’t work out that way.

Adrienne Houghton: Uh huh.

Loni Love: [laughs] What happened?

Jeannie Mai: What do you mean?

Tamera: So, Adam had planned a trip to Ireland, right?

Jeannie: Okay.

Tamera: Ireland is so beautiful. And I was like, “Oh my gosh, we’ve been dating for four years.” And I thought, “It’s going to happen.”

Jeannie: Yeah.

Tamera: There are beautiful castles, the scenery is great, it’s very romantic.

Adrienne: Yeah.

Tamera: So, every single time he would bend down, you know to… to pick up something or get something out of his bag. I swear to you guys my heart would drop. I really thought that he was going to propose. And he didn’t! So, on the flight back you guys, I cried for almost…

Jeannie: Are you serious?

Tamera: I swear to God, I cried for almost like 10 hours. For the first four hours, Adam was like, “Is everything, is everything okay?”

Jeannie: Wait, wait, wait. You were crying and he was sitting next to you?

Tamera: Yeah. I just blamed it on the fact that I was watching like a really sad movie.

Jeannie: Oh my gosh, Tam.

Tamera: So then, then next like five hours, I still kept crying and he was like, “Okay, okay wait a minute. Wait a minute. Something is really going on.” And that’s when I said, “Babe, I thought… I thought you were going you were going to ask me to marry you.” And he was like, “Aww, man.” And then we broke up. We broke up the next, uh… year and uh… then the year after that he asked me to marry him. So, it all worked out eventually.
