*Netflix has released a first look at its new coming of age comedy ”On My Block,” about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in the rough inner city.
Set in a predominantly Hispanic and African American part of South Central LA, the original series follows a fearless foursome as they enter high school and confront the challenges of adolescence and their neighborhood.
“On My Block” is from creators Lauren Iungerich (Awkward), Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft.
The cast includes Diego Tinoco as Cesar, Jason Genao as Ruby, Sierra Capri as Monse, Brett Gray as Jamal, Ronnie Hawk as Olivia, and Jessica Marie Garcia as Jasmin.
