*Jordin Sparks is mourning the death of her 16-year-old step-sister following her battle with sickle cell anemia.

Bryanna Jackson-Frias passed away Tuesday night after she was hospitalized with complications, according to People.com.

Jordin’s mom, Jodi Jackson, shared a tribute to her late step-daughter on Facebook Wednesday. Alongside a photo of her daughter, she wrote, “Bry went peacefully to Heaven. I can’t help to think (that) she’s smiling just like this. Thank you all for your prayers.”

Sparks, pregnant with her first child, had called on fans to pray for her sibling just hours before she passed.

“Please keep my little sister, Bryanna, in your prayers,” the “American Idol” vet shared in an Instagram Story post. “She’s suffering from complications from sickle cell and is in the ICU (intensive care unit) fighting for her life.”

The sad news comes just weeks after Jordin announced she had secretly married boyfriend Dana Isaiah, and is expecting their first child, a baby boy, this spring.

Sparks took to Instagram Wednesday night to mourn Bryanna’s death, as well as the sudden passing of her cousin “Q” and close friends Rasual Butler and Leah Labelle.

Four Angels in a week. My heart is just so heavy & broken. I’m in shock, numb and feel everything all at the same time. Leah & Rasual (one of my closest friends and her amazing other half who also was a great friend), Bryanna (my step sister) and Q (my little cousin), you were such bright lights in this crazy world. You made everyone better just by knowing them. And your smiles made anyone’s day better. The world is less sparkly without you in it. Rest In Peace and Power. I love you forever. Find Miles and hug him for me. ♥️ Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Don’t ever skip a chance to tell someone you appreciate them or how much you love them. Please, please continue to cover their families and our family with thoughts and prayers. #unicornsdontdie #sicklecellsux
