*Mo’Nique continues to get at everyone who challenges her call to boycott Netflix.
As previously reported, the Oscar winner believes she deserves more than the $500,000 she was offered by the streaming service for a comedy special, because white comic Amy Schumer was paid $13 million.
Among those who have been critical about the way Mo’Nique is going about her stand are Sheryl Underwood and Charlamagne tha God…and the actress was quick to address both on social media.
During an episode of “The Talk” last week, co-host Underwood addressed Mo’Nique’s allegation that neither she nor moderator Julie Chen defended her when the issue was addressed on the show.
Sheryl said she spoke with Mo’Nique and never told her to accept low offers, but suggested she repair her relationships with Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels, whom Mo accused of blackballing her. (Watch in the video above.)
In a new video response, Mo’Nique called Sheryl’s statement a lie and said the co-host actually agreed that she was wronged by the “Precious” team before rushing off the phone.
I watched my sister Sheryl Underwood sit on that stage on “The Talk” and she said, “Let me be clear about something I never told Mo’Nique to take low offers, I told Mo’Nique if she asked for forgiveness from Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry then things would be okay.”
Sheryl Underwood is telling a lie, I can’t call my sister a liar but I will say she’s lying. I have the proof of the conversation.
When Sheryl Underwood called me what she said was; “I know you’re not lying and I know you’re right” and that’s when I said, “B*** then when why are we here?!” That’s when she got into a big hurry, [saying], “I gotta get to the airport, I gotta get on a plane!” (Watch in the video above.)
Meanwhile, Mo’Nique also addressed being chosen by Charlamagne as his “Donkey of the Day” on The Breakfast Club.
“I would say to him, why do you have so much hatred toward black women,” Mo’Nique clapped back in a recorded response, prompting the radio jock to address her reaction on air.
