Metro CEO ‘extremely disappointed’ by LAPD Treatment of Woman on Subway Train

*Did you know you can get arrested or at least detained by LAPD for putting your foot on the seat on a Metro subway train? Yep you certainly can and that’s exactly what happened to an 18-year-old female rider.

The incident was captured by a bystander and shows all the nastiness. See it above (Warning: Video contains explicit language).

The incident is a result of a recent LAPD crackdown on code-of-conduct violations on trains. Such violations include eating, drinking, vaping, gambling, littering and placing feet or shoes on seats.

That’s all well and good, but the head of Metro, Phil Washington, is not happy with how the cops handled the situation and is saying so.

LOS ANGELES — The chief executive of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority on Wednesday said he was “extremely disappointed” by a Los Angeles Police Department sergeant’s treatment of a young woman who was pulled from a subway train and detained because she refused to take her foot off a seat.
