*One after another, young women have stood up in a Michigan courtroom to face their former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar.

More than 140 women, including Olympians Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles have said that they were sexually abused by Nassar over the years. Through Friday, 98 women are expected to give victim impact statements in court against Nassar and USA Gymnastics.

One of his accusers, former Olympian McKayla Maroney, settled a lawsuit against USA Gymnastics in 2016. As part of the settlement, she is unable to publicly discuss Nassar and could face a fine of $100,000 if she gives a victim impact statement.

Chrissy Teigen heard about the possible fine and took to Twitter with an offer to pay it.

“The entire principle of this should be fought,” she wrote. “An NDA to stay quiet about this serial monster with over 140 accusers, but I would be absolutely honored to pay this fine for you, McKayla.”

Soon after, actress Kristen Bell also tweeted about Maroney’s possible fine, offering to split it with Teigen and Parks and Recreation creator Mike Schur.

“I’ll split it with you,” Schur tweeted before Bell wrote: “I’ll 1/3 it with you guys.”

After the tweet offerings, USA Gymnastics released a statement overnight saying it will not seek retribution if Maroney speaks out or makes an impact statement.

In December, a federal judge sentenced Nassar to 60 years in prison for possessing thousands of images of child pornography. This week, Nassar will be sentenced in a Michigan federal court on seven counts of criminal sexual assault, which he plead guilty to in November 2016.
