*Oprah Winfrey has reportedly changed her tune about running for president.

After years of denying rumors that she would ever launch her own White House campaign, CNN reports that the mogul is “actively thinking” about a 2020 bid, and that some of her confidants have been privately urging her to run for the past several months.

CNN’s source emphasized that Winfrey has not yet made up her mind about running.

#Oprah2020 began trending on Twitter Sunday after her powerful Golden Globes speech, and host Seth Meyers even tried to finagle Oprah and Tom Hanks toward a White House run during his opening monologue.

Asked about the real possibility of her presidential run, “It’s up to the people,” Winfrey’s longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times. “She would absolutely do it.”

Even Meryl Streep gave a Winfrey ticket her endorsement, telling the Washington Post, “She launched a rocket tonight. I want her to run for president. I don’t think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn’t have a choice.”

After the Golden Globes, Oprah was again asked if she planned to heed the country’s call and run in 2020. “I don’t — I don’t,” she told Bloomberg, despite CNN citing sources saying otherwise.

The last time Winfrey shut down rumors of a run for the White House was in October, telling CBS This Morning, “There will be no running for office of any kind for me.”

That denial followed another one to the Hollywood Reporter in June, when she stated: “I will never run for public office. That’s a pretty definitive thing.”
