While everybody knows the left coast can it use the all the rain it get, the wet stuff  comes with a price for those living near the burn areas of recent wildfires, including the Thomas Fire, which spread across Santa Barbara and Ventura counties to become the largest ever recorded in California.

These residents are advised to take precautions, as downpours could cause mudslides and debris flows.

Southern California is bracing for the first significant rainstorm to hit the region in nearly a year, beginning Monday and with the heaviest rain expected in some burn areas, forecasters said. Almost four inches of rain is expected in eastern Santa Barbara County and western Ventura County over 12 hours from Monday evening through Tuesday morning, forecasters said.
