*Shondaland’s finest – Olivia Pope and Annaliese Keating – will at last meet face to face on a crossover episode of “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder” being filmed as we speak, ABC announced Wednesday.

“Scandal’s” Kerry Washington and “HTGAWM’s” Viola Davis teased the crossover in a series of coy social media posts on Wednesday morning. Washington put out a photo of herself on the “How to Get Away With Murder” set with the caption, “Hey Ms @violadavis check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?”

Davis followed up shortly thereafter with a photo of herself on the “Scandal” set with a caption that read, “Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!”

Then “How to Get Away With Murder” creator Pete Nowalk jumped in with a tweet of the script page that sets up the meeting between Washington and Davis’ characters.

According to ABC, the crossover will begin on a new episode of “Scandal” and conclude on the episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” immediately after. The “Scandal” crossover episode was written by Raamla Mohamed and directed by Tony Goldwyn. The “How to Get Away with Murder” crossover episode was written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson with Zetna Fuentes directing.

“Scandal” is currently in its seventh and final season, while “How to Get Away with Murder” is in its fourth. Both shows will make their midseason returns on Jan. 18, along with fellow Shondaland show “Grey’s Anatomy.”
