*The trailer for Lifetime’s “Faith Under Fire” film, starring Toni Braxton, just dropped and the film kicks off the singer’s new year of new projects that she’s preparing to drop.

The movie premieres on Jan. 28, but in the meantime, you can watch the trailer above. Braxton plays real-life hero Antoinette Tuff, the single mother who convinced an armed man prepared to execute a mass shooting at a GA elementary school to surrender.

Next month, Toni will release her first solo album in eight years, with Sex & Cigarettes, and if the lead single, “Deadwood,” is any indication, it will be a winner, according to Soul Tracks.
