The “This Year Was Dope/Trash” show aired Dec. 26 via REVOLT and once Twitter chimed in, the media personalities became a trending topic.
The #DopeTrashYear hashtag revealed that Charlamagne and Joe stunned fans and artists alike with their critique of artists such as Nicki Minaj, who they pun in the “trash.”
Some of the categories in their debate were: top albums, top lyricists, trash rappers, hottest artists, and more. Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar received top honors, alongside stripper-turned reality star-turned rapper Cardi B.
