*Tennis ace Venus Williams won’t face legal charges for a June car accident that left one dead.
The driver of the other vehicle, which T-boned Williams’, is also in the clear according to a police investigation that concluded neither was at fault, NY Daily News reports.
Palm Beach Gardens PD released their report on Wednesday, according to TMZ, and said no charges will be filed in the case because neither Venus nor the couple (The Barsons) in the car that t-boned Venus violated the other’s right of way.

Venus told police on the scene she was “caught in the middle” of the intersection because a 3rd vehicle had turned in front of her as the light was turning. The police concluded that it was the Nissan Altima driver that violates Venus’ right of way. However, they aren’t blaming the Altima driver for the wreck.Â
The Barsons drove through the intersection when the light turned green and smashed into Venus.
78-year-old Jerome Barson was a passenger in a 2016 Hyundai Accent driven by his wife. The car T-boned Williams’ Toyota Sequoia as she waited in an intersection in Palm Beach Gardens. Jerome died from his injuries 13 days later.
“Based upon this investigation and relevant Florida state statutes, no charges will be filed in this case,” according to an 18-page traffic homicide investigation released Wednesday by Palm Beach Gardens police.Â
