EURweb correspondent, Cheyenne Ewulu, got to step on the red carpet at the LA screening for the film ‘Ferdinand‘ at the Fox Studio Lot.
“Ferdinand” tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.
From Blue Sky Studios and Carlos Saldanha, the director of “Rio” and inspired by the beloved book “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson, “Ferdinand” is a heartwarming animated comedy adventure with an all-star cast that includes John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson and many more.

When asked what inspired her to want to take on a film like this, director Carlos Saldanha said, “The [movie] message is really important. being true to who you are. Don’t judge a book by its cover, It’s something that we all live everyday.”
“There’s not one single person in the audience that probably one time in their lives have felt misunderstood, or pushed to do something or be something else,” said Saldanha.
Actor and professional wrestler John Cena explained his similarities to the friendly bull.
“Both of us are big. Both of us have a soft side. Both of us have been misunderstood. I’m sure everybody out there has. I think there’s a little bit of Ferdinand in everybody.”
The movie definitely had a powerful message, and a talented cast to back it up.
