“Boy, you know I look good as fuck, wish I was your baby momma, want me to come around and give you good karma… But no! We escalating, up in this bitch like elevators, of course sometimes shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator!” Swapping their TriBeCa penthouse’s service elevator for the side entrance of the theater, JAY-Z and Beyoncé hosted another impromptu elevator photo shoot for the waiting paparazzi as they left the Angelika Film Center in Lower Manhattan on Monday evening. The couple had celebrated the rapper’s 48th birthday by heading to the theater best-known for its showing of independent and foreign films. Hov is wearing a Gucci “Signoria” stretch twill tuxedo ($3,250) and DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 “Got That White” sneakers. Bey is wearing a Versace “Unity” tartan-florage embroidered dress ($1,900) and “Unity” ankle strap pumps ($512). #jayz #beyonce

*Beyoncé and JAY-Z gave a wink and a nod to their headline-making elevator incident at the 2014 Met Gala.

On Monday evening, the couple was all smiles as paps caught them leaving the Angelika Film Center in New York City, where Bey had rented out a theatre for a private showing of “Wonder Wheel” to celebrate her husband’s 48th birthday.

“Hurry up, come get it,” JAY-Z was heard telling photographers from inside the elevator to snap pictures of he and his wife, who posed and smiled for the cameras, as seen in a video posted on TMZ.

The moment was a tongue-in-cheek nod to the last time they made headlines in an elevator – when Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles was shown on a security camera kicking, punching and lunging at JAY-Z during her infamous post-Met Gala elevator scuffle at the Standard Hotel in May 2014.
