*Soon, folks in Rihanna’s Barbados hometown will be able to cruise down a street that bears her name.

The government of Barbados will officially change Westbury New Road to “Rihanna Drive” on Thursday, according to TMZ.

The new sign is already in place in advance of today’s official name changing ceremony and the singer is expected to be on hand for the reveal.

Rihanna grew up on Westbury New Road before moving from Barbados to the States at age 16 to pursue her singing career.

Her family no longer resides at the residence (seen above), but it remains a major tourist attraction.

Today’s ceremony, dubbed, “Our Diamond – The Rihanna Drive Project,” will be attended by residents of Westbury New Road, government officials and other specially-invited guests, the Barbados government announced.

Additionally, the event will feature the unveiling of a fingertip pole sign and an 8 x 5 signboard by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and Rihanna, as well by performances by local entertainers.
